Eye-catching joinery paired with a practical design! You'll find that the longer you have this handcrafted tripod end table, the more you’ll use it. Not only is it great for displaying small accent pieces, the low angle of the legs makes it a perfect drink holder when you're sitting on your couch. It is also great as a laptop holder, and the sleek leg design avoids clunky leg-bumping during use. This tripod accent table is made from Walnut, White Ash or Charcoal Ash wood finishes.
White Ash Wood Care: For our White Ash products, we have transitioned from our previous white finish to a traditional Danish soap finish. Since hardwood is a natural material there can be subtle variations in color and grain. To see an accurate representation of our finishes, swipe to see the photo of our white ash soap finish in our swatches.
For smaller items (Tripod Table, Oxbend Chair, and Oxbend Stool) we are usually able to parcel ship, via UPS. You’ll be able to track them via your order confirmation, and standard transit time is 3-5 business days. For larger items (everything not listed above) our standard shipping is via private van delivery. We cultivate a network of independant white glove shippers who ensure the best care while transporting our pieces of furniture to your home. If you need additional services, please contact us.

The year 2017 brought a lot of change to our woodworking practice. Exposure to the work of some of the great furniture designers (in the case of the Sling Chair, a particular focus on the work of Sam Maloof) started a percolation of the idea “what if we became a furniture company?” For the first time, Justin had a desire to design his own chair - classically the most difficult (and least profitable) piece of furniture to design and manufacture, but the piece that has become the pinnacle for so many passionate designers.
The Sling Chair and the Tripod Table developed out of about a year of trying new ideas. The shop’s first lathe led to what at the time felt like limitless opportunities for furniture parts. The Sling Chair was Justin’s first attempt at making a chair, and in retrospect the design process was surprisingly simpler than more recent design projects. Two weeks of slow orders allowed for an opportunity for uninterrupted ideation, and after one or two prototypes, the Sling Chair in its current form sprung forth!
The almost addicting experience of the development of new furniture pieces, as well as the refinement of production processes, changed Fernweh Woodworking forever. After the first two pieces, Justin began working on the Dining Table and Coffee table, which allowed us to launch our first cohesive collection of household furniture.
